I used to pick up wine crates at a liquor shop, because they were free. I made planters, drawers and display shelves using them. With some reinforcement and surface protection, they are usable.
This one, I sliced a small wine crate in half and added internal divisions. I also stained, stenciled, and waxed. It looks like almost antique.
It is perfect size to store tea bags or silverware. It can be hung on wall to show off your teacup collections.
